Ancient
medicine and healing are the forerunners of the work we do today in
alternative medicine and hypnosis. Priest-physicians who knew how to
communicate with the healing power date back to the sacred witch doctors and
shamans. Throughout time and the evolution of healing, this divine work took
many forms. Every one of these healers demonstrated both strength and wisdom.
All of these forms, including today’s hypnotherapists walk the
“way of the seer," and all the great healers work with the voice
of guidance.
Priests, Prophets & Healers
Indian Medicine Men and Women were priests,
prophets and healers. They were “masters of hypnosis.” The Greeks
and Romans gave voice to Hippocrates and Asclepius, divine priest-physicians
who helped supplicants to find their own inner remedies. Jesus has been
called a divine physician, mystically transforming suffering through the very
Source of life itself.
The Elixir of Healing
Today, hypnotherapists also work to assist
others to find the elixir of healing within themselves and to serve as
conduits for the transformation of challenges at physical and emotional
levels of life.
